MotoGP calendar official: The 22 rounds of the 2027 Road Racing World Championship

The MotoGP Group has approved the 2027 Motorcycle Road World Championship race calendar in collaboration with the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM). As agreed in the statutes, 22 events are once again set to take place on the GP circuit between March and November 2027. As already hinted at during the preliminary discussions, there are numerous changes, but no further surprises. The biggest change is the move in Australia towards Adelaide, in conjunction with the Grand Prix on a street circuit.

As previously confirmed, the season will kick off with the 850cc class’s debut at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand. This will be followed in March by the Qatar Desert Grand Prix. From there, the action heads to the American continent. The USA, Brazil and the Argentine Grand Prix in Buenos Aires – which has been reinstated to the calendar – will be contested as a trio of races.

There are no changes to the classics on the calendar: Jerez, Le Mans, Mugello, Catalunya, Assen, Sachsenring and Brno before the summer break. As has already been officially confirmed, the Hungarian Grand Prix has once again been dropped from the programme.

Also confirmed are Silverstone in England, Misano on the Adriatic coast, and the two final European races in Portimão and Valencia – contracts with the organisers were renewed just this week. The second overseas tour, featuring Japan, Australia and Malaysia, is also confirmed. Instead of Phillip Island, the MotoGP victory will be contested for the first time on the Adelaide street circuit in autumn 2027.
