Ken Roczen (Suzuki): “Haven’t ridden for a long time, but fit for the play-offs”

Following his foray into four-wheel racing, the German-American US Supercross Champion Ken Roczen (Suzuki) is returning to competition at the first SMX Playoff in Columbus (Ohio) after an 18-week break. “It rained all summer in Florida,” explained the Thuringian on the press day ahead of the race. “I’ve only managed to ride very little. I’ve only got on the motorbike once every two weeks. I’m not too worried about my fitness, but I’ll need a few warm-up laps,” said the Thuringian on the press day before the race. In the first free practice session in Columbus, Ken Roczen was initially the fastest.

Hunter Lawrence: Problems with his left wrist

Hunter Lawrence, who won the US Nationals and heads into the play-offs as the leader, explained at the press conference that he had been struggling with a left wrist injury (ligaments and cartilage) all summer. “I’ve tried to take it easy on my wrist a bit over the last two weeks. Because of the rain, I’ve only ridden once, but I’m feeling optimistic.”
