No sooner has the FIA WEC 6-hour race in Barcelona finished than the World Endurance Championship is already looking ahead to the next event, which will take place at the Monza circuit from 6 to 8 November 2026 and will also serve as the season finale. The WEC has now published an initial provisional starting grid for the event – and it shows no changes compared to Barcelona.
As usual, the Hypercar class will feature 17 cars from the eight manufacturers: Alpine, Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Genesis, Peugeot and Toyota. The two Aston Martin Valkyries will continue to be fielded with driver duos. In Italy, too, Tom Gamble and Harry Tincknell, as well as Alex Riberas and Marco Soerensen, will once again be sharing driving duties. Alpine is also sticking with two-driver line-ups, with Ferdinand Habsburg and Charles Milesi in one A424 and Jules Gounon and Victor Martins in the sister car.
All other cars are fielding trios of drivers. This includes the two Toyota TR010 Hybrids, one with Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries, and the other with Brendon Hartley, Ryo Hirakawa and Sébastien Buemi. Only these two trios are still in contention for the drivers’ title.
The event at Monza is also special for Mike Conway.
