The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, producing around 500 PS (368 kW) with the Rally GT Kit 500 PS (or around 368 kW) will compete on the demanding tarmac special stages in West Flanders, where rounds three and four of the Trophy series will take place. What’s more, the visually and technically revised Gen2 Rally GT Kit will make its rally debut at the event.

Prominent guest drivers will be competing in this classic rally: as regular driver Pieter-Jan Michiel Cracco is unable to take part due to injury, rally legend Kris Meeke – winner of five World Rally Championship rounds – will take the wheel of a Porsche 992 Rally GT. Also competing as a strong guest driver in the Porsche is the Belgian tarmac specialist Cedric Cherain. However, due to their past successes, both will be competing outside the official Trophy standings.

The field of entrants features a host of renowned teams and drivers. Dekens Motorsport is taking part with Kris Meeke, amongst others. The teams from EMO Sport, RD Racing (with current championship leader Romain Delhez) and Motopark (for Cherain) are also among the favourites.

The presence of 911s in Flanders has a long-standing tradition. Last year, the Swabian brand caused a stir when World Rally Championship ace Dani Sordo secured a strong third place overall in a Porsche.

The rally, centred around the West Flemish town of Ypres (population 35,000), features 250.53 kilometres of special stages. These are spread across 21 special stages on the region’s narrow country roads, which are often lined with ditches.
