Ahead of the Dutch GP at Zandvoort: Live updates, sprint format, TV, and the weather forecast

Zandvoort is a meteorological mixed bag: at the Dutch circuit set amongst the dunes, we’ve experienced just about every kind of weather in recent years.

The 2021 and 2022 Dutch Grands Prix had three main things in common: sold-out grandstands, glorious summer weather, and a victory for Max Verstappen.

Then, in 2023, came a thrilling Grand Prix in changeable conditions, with local hero Verstappen winning for the third time in a row.

In 2024, McLaren ace Lando Norris put an end to Verstappen’s dominance, once again in pleasant late-summer weather.

In 2025, an incident-packed Grand Prix followed, featuring an engine failure for Norris, a crash by Lewis Hamilton and another McLaren victory, this time with Oscar Piastri ahead of Max Verstappen. The fans were delighted with plenty of sunshine.

And 2026? Dutch meteorologists say: showers on and off throughout the week, interspersed with sunny spells – that’s how it goes so close to the sea. Therefore, from today’s perspective, it is not yet possible to predict exactly which parts of the Sprint weekend will take place on a wet track.
