Contract extended: Formula 1 to go full throttle on ServusTV until 2029

Formula 1 officials have extended ServusTV’s contract, which governs the broadcasting of Formula 1 race weekends, by three years until 2029. This means Austrian fans will be able to enjoy live coverage of all sessions for a further three years. Whether it’s practice sessions, sprints, qualifying or Grands Prix – everything will be shown live and free of charge on ServusTV and ServusTV On.

“Over the past six years, ServusTV and Formula 1 have built a strong and successful partnership. The extension of this collaboration for a further three years is fantastic news for all motorsport fans in Austria,” says Matthias Brügelmann, Global Head of Content at Servus Media.

“This means they can continue to follow their favourite sport live, free of charge and in the usual top quality on ServusTV and ServusTV On,” adds the German, referring to the extension of the rights agreement.

Ian Holmes, Chief Media Rights and Broadcasting Officer at Formula 1, adds: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with ServusTV, which has provided our fans in Austria with world-class coverage over the past six years.”
