Formula 1 champion Lando Norris: Three-part documentary on Amazon Prime Video

Formula 1 offers everything a spectator could wish for: competition, drama, triumphant winners and heartbroken losers – the Grand Prix circuit never fails to provide entertainment. This is illustrated, for example, by the Netflix documentary ‘Drive to Survive’, which has sparked a global surge in viewership for the premier class of motor racing and is particularly popular with younger audiences.

The producers of the successful series, ‘Box to Box Films’, are also behind the mini-documentary series about Lando Norris, due to be released in 2027. It will give viewers an insight into the life of the Formula 1 champion, showing more than just his work on the track. The makers promise that the documentary, with the working title ‘Lando’, will give viewers greater access to the McLaren star’s life than ever before.

Filming is already under way

The three-part series will not be available on Netflix, but on the streaming service ‘Amazon Prime Video’. This year’s title race will serve as the backdrop, but the focus will be on what happens off the track. “I’m really delighted to be able to make this documentary with Amazon Prime Video,” says the 26-year-old. “Filming has been under way for quite some time now and I’ve already had a lot of fun with it.”

The series follows Norris through the summer and highlights the contrasts between life in the spotlight of the premier class and the private life of the 13-time Grand Prix winner. “I do share a lot of what I get up to, but this documentary will give people more insight than ever before into my life away from the track. I was very heavily involved in the whole project, so I hope people will enjoy seeing more of what goes on behind the scenes. I’m looking forward to people being able to watch it next year,” explains the Grand Prix star.
