Following the race in Budapest, Formula 1 traditionally takes its summer break. This year is no exception: after this weekend’s race at the Hungaroring, there will be a break of just under a month. The next race takes place on 23 August in Zandvoort in the Netherlands.
The Hungarian Grand Prix is notorious for its high summer temperatures, which place particular demands on drivers and cars. This year, however, the Hungarian Grand Prix will, for once, not be a battle against the heat – at least not as intense as in previous years. Temperatures are forecast to reach just 27 degrees on Saturday and 28 degrees Celsius on Sunday. By Budapest summer standards, that’s almost cool. It’s set to be sunny with light cloud. As things stand at the start of the week, the chance of rain is virtually zero.
