Investing in young talent: Lando Norris launches junior team LN4 Fusion

Lando Norris has had a few exciting days. The defending champion announced a few days ago that he had extended his contract with the McLaren team, where he has been part of the driver line-up since 2017 – back then he was still a junior driver. The Briton, who will remain with the Papaya team until at least the end of 2030, is also investing in the future on the side.

He is a co-founder of the junior racing team LN4 Fusion, which is taking part in a test programme for British Formula 4 in order to secure a place in the national formula racing series. In addition, the team’s management hopes to join the Formula 2 field from 2027, and the necessary process has been set in motion.

Participation in Italian Formula 4, the Formula Regional European Championship and Formula 3 has already been confirmed. Crucially, the team has acquired selected assets from the AIX Racing team, thereby ultimately securing its place on the starting grid until the end of 2027.

The team has also managed to sign a few well-known names. For instance, Rene Rosin, who has around 40 years’ experience in motorsport, is at the helm as manager. Dan Hazlewood heads up operations in the UK. In recent years, he has successfully led the Fusion Motorsport Karting team.

At the same time – but independently of LN4 Fusion – Norris has also launched the ‘LN4 Legacy Programme’. This is a fully funded driver development programme run by ADD Management. Julian Rouse is at the helm. The programme was set up to identify and nurture motorsport talent.
