Bagger World Cup: Debut for the racing Harleys on the British Isles

The Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup also kicks off the second half of its season at Silverstone. The third round of the new series took place at Assen at the end of June as part of the MotoGP World Championship – a total of twelve races will be held over six weekends in 2026.

Fans witnessed thrilling battles for victory in the first six races of the Bagger World Cup. Despite the still relatively small field of riders, the battles on the racing Harleys were entertaining – accompanied by the unique sound of the powerful V2 engines.

Former MotoE rider Eric Granado currently leads the overall standings. However, the Brazilian is only two points ahead of Oscar Gutierrez. The young Australian Archie McDonald is currently in third place, 12 points behind the Spaniard. In fourth place is former MotoGP and Superbike rider Andrea Iannone.

Former MotoGP rider Bradley Smith to compete on a wildcard

Fans can expect another thrilling spectacle at Silverstone with the 280-kg bikes racing without traction control. To add an extra twist to the proceedings, local hero Bradley Smith will be on the starting grid with a wildcard. The former MotoGP rider is looking forward to the two races in front of his home crowd. What’s more, Smith will be competing for the Italian ParkinGO team with a special Silverstone livery – to celebrate the championship’s first visit to the United Kingdom.

After Silverstone, the final battles for championship points will take place in Aragon and Spielberg. The overall winner of the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup will then be crowned at the Red Bull Ring.
