Euro Moto Hockenheim: Sunday’s schedule – last chance for points

The former IDM, which has been competing under the name Euro Moto since this year, has reached the final day of racing on its last race weekend. Who will head into the winter break with a win – or even the title?

What happens if a race is abandoned?

Should a race be red-flagged, various scenarios are possible. In the event of a race being interrupted when fewer than three laps have been completed, the following race distances apply for the restart, plus the formation and warm-up lap(s). Euro Moto Superbike: 12 laps; Euro Moto Supersport: 10 laps; Euro Moto Sportbike: 8 laps. In the event of a race interruption where three or more, but fewer than two-thirds, of the laps have been completed, the race distance for the restart is the remaining race distance minus the 3 laps already completed by the leader, with the minimum race distance being five laps (plus orientation and/or warm-up lap(s)).

Getting married again

Following on from the wedding suite right next to the Nürburgring’s start-finish straight, it is now also possible to get married at the Hockenheimring. “Right in the middle of the circuit, between the bends and the grandstands, a wedding day begins that is anything but ordinary,” promises the circuit operator. “The wedding celebrations begin with a private photo tour of the circuit’s legendary spots, accompanied by the best man and maid of honour and a photographer. Meanwhile, the guests explore the circuit on a guided tour through the pit lane, grandstands and Motodrom – places normally reserved for motorsport professionals.”

The live stream

There’s plenty to see on the final race day of the season. For Stephan Kraus, editor-in-chief at Radio Viktoria – which is once again offering a free live stream via YouTube – the excitement was already building ahead of the race weekend. “I’m so excited to see who ends up winning the championship titles,” he revealed. As always, there’s also free live timing provided by Bike-Promotion, followed by free access to the official results.
