Following a second-place finish in Brno and victory at Assen, Moto2 ace David Alonso endured two disappointing race weekends. He crashed during the Grand Prix at the Sachsenring and could only manage 21st place at Silverstone. Alonso struggled to find the right feel for his Kalex whilst on British soil.
Two races with zero points also took their toll on the overall standings. Alonso currently lies in sixth place with 116 points.
