Fermin Aldeguer (Ducati) with a new mobility partner – for four wheels

Fermin Aldeguer suffered a vertebral fracture in his crash during MotoGP qualifying at Assen. Due to the injury, the Gresini Ducati rider was forced to head into the summer break early and missed the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring.

The Spaniard is using the time leading up to the British Grand Prix (7–9 August) to recover. Away from the racetrack, however, Aldeguer remains busy; this week, he announced a new commercial partnership.

Aldeguer has secured a new mobility partner in ‘Huertas Motor’, an authorised Volkswagen dealer and service partner. At the official announcement of the partnership, the 2025 MotoGP Rookie of the Year was presented with a new VW Crafter panel van – naturally featuring his number 54.

The VW authorised dealer is based in Murcia – Aldeguer is also from there. “Huertas Motor Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is to become the official mobility partner of Fermin Aldeguer, the first rider from Murcia to win a MotoGP race and the second-youngest rider in history to secure a victory in the premier class,” read an official statement from the dealer. “A partnership that brings together a leading brand in the field of mobility with one of the greatest talents in global motorcycling. Two different worlds, yet the same approach to moving forward: hard work, precision, dedication and the ambition to always go that extra mile. Fermin is putting his foot down.
