Live updates: MotoGP Misano – Can Aprilia spoil the party for Marc Marquez?

In Saturday’s MotoGP Sprint at Misano, world champion Marc Marquez triumphed ahead of the Aprilia factory riders Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin. ‘MM93’ was thus able to reduce his deficit to championship leader Martin to 14 points.

In front of the large crowd of Italian fans, national hope Bezzecchi is on pole position for the Grand Prix, flanked by Ducati riders Marc Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer. On the second row we see Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46 Ducati), Martin and, surprisingly, Honda rider Luca Marini. Whilst Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM), Franco Morbidelli (VR46 Ducati) and Alex Marquez (Gresini Ducati) make up the third row, two-time MotoGP champion Pecco Bagnaia of the Ducati-Lenovo team is in just 14th on the grid following a disastrous qualifying session. Superbike star Toprak Razgatlioglu will even have to start from the very back of the grid on his Yamaha.
