Lamborghini works driver Sandy Mitchell replaces the injured Maximilian Paul

Lamborghini works driver Sandy Mitchell is set to compete for the Grasser Racing Team in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup at the Nürburgring. The Briton will share the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 with Mirko Bortolotti and Franck Perera.

Mitchell will replace Maximilian Paul in the Austrian Lamborghini team. Paul has recently made great progress in his recovery following his serious DTM crash at the Norisring and completed his first test since the accident at the Sachsenring, but racing at the Nürburgring is still too soon for the Dredener.

“I’m looking forward to the weekend at the Nürburgring with the TGI Team by GRT. It will be my first race with the team and I’m looking forward to working with them and hope we can achieve a strong result together,” said Sandy Mitchell. “I’m delighted that Max’s recovery is going very well and that he’ll be back racing soon. Mitchell is competing this year with Pfaff Motorsports in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. He has won the last two races in the US in the Lamborghini Temerario GT3.
