Six race weekends from May to October form the sporting framework for the 2027 season in the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup. The juniors can look forward to an attractive mix of established circuits and a real highlight of the season against a first-class backdrop at the Norisring.

“We are delighted to be able to offer our drivers the chance to compete on the most prestigious stage imaginable on the ‘Road to DTM’. At the Norisring, our up-and-coming talents will have the chance to demonstrate their skills not only in front of the DTM team principals, but also in front of a huge crowd. This demonstrates the ADAC’s great confidence in our series, which is now entering its seventh year,” explains series organiser Matthias Meyer.

Andreas von der Haar, motoring officer at ADAC Weser-Ems e.V., adds: “We’re staying true to our philosophy: affordable and fair junior motorsport at a high level. The fact that we can keep the cost structure stable even in our seventh season and have a fantastic package on offer with the Norisring highlight shows just how well the concept of the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup has developed in collaboration with our teams. For the young drivers, this is an invaluable experience and the perfect showcase for their careers.”

Season opener at Hockenheim, highlight in Nuremberg

The unofficial starting signal will be given on 12 March 2027 at the traditional Prep Day at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, where drivers and teams can fine-tune their preparations for the new season. The racing season will finally get underway in mid-May at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg, which – following 2023 and 2026 – will host the season opener for the third time.

At the end of June, the circus heads back to Oschersleben in the Börde region for the second round, before the highlight of the year takes place just one week later: at the Norisring, the VW up! GTIs take to the big motorsport stage. At the 2026 Norisring Speed Weekend, 118,500 spectators flocked to the Franconian street circuit. Fans can look forward to spectacular slipstream duels and late braking manoeuvres from the up-and-coming talents on the tight street circuit as they push themselves to the limit.

Tried-and-tested finale and affordable junior motorsport

Following a two-week break, the sprint version of the Nürburgring kicks off the second half of the season in mid-July. After the summer break in August, the action moves to the Salzburgring – the fastest circuit on the junior series calendar. Finally, the grand season finale takes place in mid-October, traditionally on the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit, which, as usual, is sure to provide dramatic championship deciders.

The car of choice remains the tried-and-tested, 150 PS VW up! GTI, which has for years stood for maximum equality of opportunity, high reliability and extreme cost-efficiency. Entry and running costs remain at the same level as in previous years. Thanks to the ongoing pilot project with the DMSB, entry to the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup will again be possible from the age of 14 in 2027.
