Lamborghini sets fastest time in ADAC GT Masters qualifying at the Salzburgring

Finn Zulauf has extended his lead at the top of the ADAC GT Masters championship. Driving the Engstler Motorsport Lamborghini, Zulauf secured pole position for the first race at the Salzburgring, thereby earning three championship points.

Leo Pichler took second place in the razoon – more than racing Porsche 911 GT3 R. The Austrian was 0.130 seconds off the fastest time.

Simon Connor Primm, in the HGL Racing Audi, rounded off the top three.

Six minutes before the end of the session, there was a serious crash at the paddock bend. Juliano Holzem in the Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 and Jamie Day in the Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin crashed at the exit of the high-speed corner. Both cars were severely damaged on impact. Holzem hit the ground first, before Day also lost control in the corner and crashed into the stationary BMW.

Eight seconds before the end of the session, qualifying was finally abandoned after Tim Hütter in the Engstler Lamborghini skidded off the track and became stuck in the gravel.
