The “H&R Das Juniorteam!” by ME Motorsport is stepping up its efforts to support young talent. At this year’s season finale of the German Karting Championship (DKM) in Wackersdorf (25–27 September), the BMW racing team will be exhibiting the full range of BMW customer racing cars. Alongside the BMW M2 Racing and the BMW M4 GT4, which ME Motorsport fields in the well-known ADAC racing series, the team will also be bringing the BMW M4 GT3, which it intends to use in the ADAC GT Masters in future. Furthermore, Noah Eichele, who normally competes with the team in the BMW M2 Cup, will be racing in Wackersdorf under the ME Motorsport entry in the KZ2 class of the DKM.

The DKM is also organised by the ADAC and is likewise part of the ‘Road to DTM’ junior driver development programme. The champion in the OK-N category will have their entry fee for the BMW M2 Cup or the ADAC GT4 Germany covered by the ADAC, enabling them to gain their first experience in professional motorsport on the DTM platform, which attracts large crowds and has a wide reach.

‘We are delighted to be able to showcase our racing cars in Wackersdorf. Alongside the BMW M2 Racing and the BMW M4 GT4, we will be making our first public appearance there with our new BMW M4 GT3. This means we’ll be showcasing the entire ‘Road to DTM’, which runs via the BMW M2 Cup into the ADAC GT4 Germany and the ADAC GT Masters – a programme we’ll be fully representing within our team from next year onwards. The young karting drivers will have the opportunity to take a closer look at the cars there. “We look forward to talking to them and showcasing career opportunities for young drivers with the ‘H&R Das Juniorteam!’ by ME Motorsport,” explains ME Motorsport team principal Markus Eichele.

On 1 October, ME Motorsport will also take part in a test day at the Hockenheimring. The team is offering young drivers the chance to climb into the cockpit of the BMW M2 Racing and the BMW M4 GT4 on this day and gain their first impressions of the race cars. The test is ideal preparation for competing in the BMW M2 Cup and the ADAC GT4 Germany, as the circuit is a fixed fixture on the racing calendar for both series. Furthermore, during the test, the drivers will benefit from working alongside ME Motorsport’s experienced engineers and fellow drivers; the engineers – who have extensive experience with BMW cars – will provide the drivers with an analysis of their performance after the test, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses.
