DTM team Comtoyou Racing launches its own junior team

Code Racing Development and Comtoyou Racing, two partner teams of Aston Martin Racing, are pooling their expertise to launch the ‘Comtoyou Junior Team by Code’ – a new development programme designed to support young drivers on their journey from GT4 to GT3.

Initiated by the two teams, this programme is based on a natural synergy: Code Racing Development’s experience in GT4 and Comtoyou Racing’s expertise at the highest level of GT3. The project is endorsed and supported by Aston Martin Racing.

Code Racing Development was founded in 2017, is based in Périgueux and has made a name for itself in both rallying and circuit racing. The CEO, Pierre Comby, has many years’ experience in international motorsport and has, in particular, contributed to the FIA GT1 World Championship and FIA GT3 European Championship titles won by Hexis Racing and Aston Martin Racing. The team, which currently competes in the French and European GT4 Championships, has a track record of impressive results and in-depth expertise in this category.

Since partnering with Aston Martin in 2024, Comtoyou Racing has established itself as one of the brand’s leading teams in international motorsport, with programmes in the GT World Challenge Europe, the ADAC GT Masters and the DTM, where it currently occupies third place in the championship.

Both organisations will remain completely independent. Their collaboration serves a common goal: to offer young Aston Martin drivers a structured career path from GT4 to GT3.

Code Racing Development will serve as the development platform in GT4, whilst Comtoyou Racing offers the most talented drivers a clear path to joining its GT3 programmes.

The ‘Comtoyou Junior Team by Code’ fits seamlessly into the dynamics of the Aston Martin Racing Academy and offers a coherent career path: talent scouting, training, experience in GT4, performance and – for the most talented drivers – potential access to GT3.

The programme builds on the careers of Jamie Day and Kobe Pauwels, who were both recently recognised by the Aston Martin Racing Academy and are now successfully competing at the very highest level in GT racing with Aston Martin and Comtoyou Racing.

The first concrete implementation of the ‘Comtoyou Junior Team by Code’ will take place as early as next season, with two Aston Martin Vantage GT4s sporting the programme’s livery competing in the GT4 European Series and the French FFSA GT Championship.
