Porsche Carrera Cup star makes his ADAC GT Masters debut at the Nürburgring

Alexander Tauscher is set to make his debut in the ADAC GT Masters at the Nürburgring. The 23-year-old will be driving a Porsche 911 GT3 R for razoon – more than racing. The driver from Mitterfeld in Lower Bavaria will be making his debut in GT3 racing.

The Porsche Carrera Cup driver will line up for the Austrian team alongside Leo Pichler. Tauscher will be replacing Colin Jamie Bönighauen at the Nürburgring, who fractured his thigh in an accident at work following the race weekend at the Lausitzring and is unable to compete at the Nürburgring.

After six of eight race weekends, Tauscher is fourth in the German Carrera Cup championship standings and celebrated a race win at Zandvoort. He has secured five further podium finishes in the other races. He has also made two guest appearances in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup to date.

For Tauscher, this will also mark a return to working with Christoph Huber, the GT3 team manager at razoon – more than racing. In 2023 and 2024, he competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup for what was then the Huber Racing team.
