Roan van de Moosdijk (KTM) wins in Tensfeld and is the new championship leader

After Max Nagl (Triumph) was forced to retire due to injury after suffering a fractured vertebrae in Saturday's race, the way was clear for Roan van de Moosdijk on Sunday. The Kosak KTM rider had already taken the lead in the standings after Nagl's retirement and second place on Saturday. The Dutchman was still struggling on Sunday with a minor injury from his Saturday crash, but in the end he was the most consistent rider with 3 second places over the weekend and was the day's winner.

Race win for Max Spies

Lightning starter Noah Ludwig took the holeshot for the second race, but Noah was caught by Maximilian Spies on the first lap. Spies pulled away from the rest of the field by a few seconds in the early stages. Roan van de Moosdijk was able to get the better of Noah Ludwig on the 3rd lap to take second place. Noah was then able to hold on to 3rd position for 13 laps before being caught by Jere Haavisto (KTM) at the end. Van de Moosdijk tried to close the gap to Max Spies at the end, but the rider from Brandenburg was able to maintain his pace to the end and won the first Sunday race with a lead of 13.4 seconds over the Dutch championship leader, Jere Haavisto and Noah Ludwig.

Jörgen Matthias Talviku (Yamaha) took the holeshot in the third race. The Finn led the race for 7 laps before Roan van de Moosdijk decisively asserted himself and maintained the lead for two laps. Van de Moosdijk was followed by Jere Haavisto (KTM), who in turn caught the Dutchman on lap 10 and carried his pace through to the end. Haavisto won the third race with a lead of 6.5 seconds over Roan van de Moosdijk. Maximilian Spies did not have a good start to this race and had to fight his way up from 7th place. In the end, 'Spicy' finished 3rd and that was enough for 2nd place in the overall standings in Tensfeld.

Difficult day for Tom Koch

Saturday's winner Tom Koch (Sarholz KTM) finished fifth twice on Sunday. With a 1-5-5 result, he finished third in the daily standings. Noah Ludwig also struggled with his start to Race 3 and got stuck in the traffic of the top 10 in the early stages. Halfway through the race, he even dropped out of the top 10, but in the final laps, the Aschersleben native attacked and overtook Nico Greutmann and Jakub Teresak to finish in 9th place.

Situation at the top of the table

Roan van de Moosdijk has taken the lead after 4 of 7 events and a lead of 49 points. Max Nagl is in 2nd place and Maximilian Spies improved from 5th to 3rd in the standings, while Tom Koch dropped from 3rd to 4th. Jere Haavisto remains in 4th place in the standings.
