Tensfeld crash: Max Nagl (Triumph) suffers serious back injury

After Max Nagl's crash in Saturday's race at Tensfeld, the 4th stage of the ADAC MX Masters, the race was red-flagged. Nagl was leading the race and collided with a lapped rider who had crashed on lap 8. The following defending champion, Roan van de Moosdijk, was also unable to get out of the way and also crashed. The Dutchman was able to continue the race, Nagl was unable to get up.

Serious back injuries

Immediately after the race was stopped, it was clear that Nagl had sustained serious injuries. He was treated at the side of the track, given a neck brace and transported to Neumünster Hospital.

Vertebral injuries

Initially, there were reports of two vertebral fractures in the neck and back area. However, the cervical vertebrae fracture could not be confirmed after diagnosis at the hospital. The fracture in the thoracic vertebrae, on the other hand, was verified. Fortunately, the German did not suffer any neurological restrictions or signs of paralysis.

Nagl already on his way home
