Serious back injuries

Immediately after the race was stopped, it was clear that Nagl had sustained serious injuries. He was treated at the side of the track, given a neck brace and transported to Neumünster Hospital.

Vertebral injuries

Initially, there were reports of two vertebral fractures in the neck and back area. However, the cervical vertebrae fracture could not be confirmed after diagnosis at the hospital. The fracture in the thoracic vertebrae, on the other hand, was verified. Fortunately, the German did not suffer any neurological restrictions or signs of paralysis.

Nagl already on his way home

Max Nagl has already travelled home to undergo further examinations. How long the five-time Masters champion will be out of action is completely uncertain at the moment. On behalf of all SPEEDWEEK.com readers, we would like to take this opportunity to wish Max Nagl a speedy and full recovery.
