The history of Aprilia Racing is closely linked to the high-speed circuit at Phillip Island. On this flowing and demanding track, the Noale-based manufacturer secured ten victories in the smaller-capacity classes of the World Motorcycle Championship, as well as numerous successes in the World Superbike Championship with the RSV4. A particular milestone was reached in 2025, when Raúl Fernández secured victory in the MotoGP race on the RS-GP, thereby securing Aprilia’s 300th Grand Prix win in the company’s history. This makes Aprilia the most successful European manufacturer in the history of the World Motorcycle Championship.

As Phillip Island will no longer feature on the MotoGP calendar from the 2027 season onwards after almost three decades, Aprilia is paying tribute to the circuit with this model. The RS660 Phillip Island Tribute features an exclusive paint scheme and a standard passenger cover. The side panels feature the circuit logo, along with lettering and a chequered flag. A badge on the fuel tank commemorates the total number of Aprilia victories at this circuit, whilst the limited-edition serial number is engraved on the upper triple clamp.

Technically, the special edition is based on the well-known RS660 platform. The liquid-cooled 660 cc in-line twin-cylinder engine delivers 105 PS at 10,400 rpm and 70 Nm at 8,400 rpm. The engine acts as a load-bearing element within the aluminium bridge frame, contributing to a lightweight and torsionally rigid chassis.

The electronic features include a six-axis gyro sensor, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine braking control and various riding modes. A blipper for upshifting and downshifting without using the clutch, launch control and cruise control are also part of the standard specification. In Europe, the Aprilia RS660 Phillip Island Tribute will be on display at EICMA in Milan from 5 to 8 November in Hall 9.
