DTM car classifications at the Nürburgring with major adjustments

The DTM’s Balance of Performance will be adjusted ahead of the second day of racing at the Nürburgring. Aston Martin, BMW, Lamborghini, McLaren and Mercedes-AMG will receive a more favourable rating. The ratings for Ferrari, Ford and Porsche remain unchanged.

The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is permitted to shed ten kilograms, bringing its minimum weight to 1,295 kilograms. In addition, the maximum boost pressure will increase from 1.94 bar to 1.96 bar.

The BMW M4 GT3 will also have ten kilograms removed from its weight, meaning the car will compete in the Eifel on Sunday without any additional weight. The weight is now 1,300 kilograms. Furthermore, the boost pressure will be increased in the higher rev range.

The Lamborghini Temerario GT3 is permitted to shed five kilograms. The minimum weight of the Italian racing car is now 1,325 kilograms. The maximum boost pressure has been increased to 1.75 bar.

The McLaren 720S GT3 is allowed to shed a full 20 kilograms. This brings the minimum weight down to 1,290 kilograms, meaning the British car will be the lightest DTM car in the Eifel on Sunday.
