Lukas Tulovic had a rough time at the recent Euro Moto meet in Brno. It was his first crash of the series, and a mechanical issue that plagued him throughout the weekend really ruined his chances of picking up points. In the first race, he was nowhere near the podium places; in Race 2, he had to concede the top spot to Markus Reiterberger. At least the fault had been rectified. It was the shock absorber.
Matthias Moser, team principal at Triple M Racing Ducati Frankfurt, explains to euromoto.racing: “A faulty shock absorber was the cause. The rebound damping wasn’t working. So we fitted the shock absorber from Lukas’s spare bike. Strangely enough, exactly the same problem cropped up again. Before the second race, we fitted Lorenzo Zanetti’s spare shock absorber. And everything was fine again.”
Before Tulovic headed to Most, he stopped off at the Mohr Life Resort in Austria on behalf of Ducati Germany, which has previously supported Michael Galinski’s WorldSBK team. Ducati Germany had invited guests to the Ducati Content Days X, and Lukas Tulovic was given the chance to test a range of different Ducati models.
Participation in World Ducati Week
Once the scorching Most round is over this coming weekend, however, the current leader of the Euro Moto Superbike championship won’t be heading to a local quarry lake, but towards the Adriatic. In 2026, Ducati will celebrate its 100th anniversary. The highlight of the celebrations will be World Ducati Week (WDW), which takes place in Misano from 3 to 5 July. Countless Ducatisti will travel to the Italian Adriatic coast to celebrate the iconic brand from Bologna.
One of the highlights of WDW will be the ‘Race of Champions’ on 5 July (12 noon). This will see Ducati’s MotoGP riders compete against each other on the Panigale V4. Taking part will be Marc Marquez, Pecco Bagnaia, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Franco Morbidelli, Alex Marquez, Fermin Aldeguer and Michele Pirro. They will be joined by riders from the Superbike World Championship: Nicolo Bulega, Iker Lecuona, Alvaro Bautista, Yari Montella, Lorenzo Baldassarri, Alberto Surra, Tarran Mackenzie and Thomas Bridewell. The starting grid is rounded off by Hafizh Syahrin (Asia Superbike Championship), Josh Waters (Australian Superbike Championship) and Lukas Tulovic (Euro Moto Superbike).
