Schrötter knows the challenges at Most and is ready for the hot ride
Marcel Schrötter has already secured his first win in his still-young Euro Moto Superbike career at Brno. But he doesn’t want to settle for anything less at Most either.

The third round of the Euro Moto takes teams and riders back to our eastern neighbours, the Czech Republic. Instead of Brno, this time it’s Most’s turn, which hosted the WorldSBK just a few weeks ago. Marcel Schrötter knows the Autodrom Most, situated on the outskirts of the town of the same name, like the back of his hand, and he also knows what will be crucial this weekend as he once again battles for championship points on the BMW M 1000 RR of his GERT56 by RS Speedbikes team from Pirna, aiming to repeat his success from a month ago in Brno.
Switch from the EWC BMW to the Euro Moto bike
The 33-year-old Schrötter celebrated his first victory in the Euro Moto Superbike on the last Sunday in May and currently lies second in the overall standings, five points behind the leader Lukas Tulovic (Ducati).
“After my last race weekend in the World Endurance Championship, I’m looking forward to competing in the Euro Moto again,” said Schrötter. “I hope I can get off to a good start straight away, as I’ve always found the switch from the EWC BMW to the BMW in the Euro Moto a bit of a struggle so far. Most is a cool circuit that’s definitely great fun, but unlike with a Supersport bike, riding a Superbike demands a lot more action.”

“What’s more, the character of the track is completely different from that of Brno and Spa – both of which are huge circuits – so I’ll have to adapt a little,” the former World Championship rider realises. “I’ve definitely got more work ahead of me at Most, because Brno is much smoother to ride and offers more time to catch your breath during a lap, whereas Most is exactly the opposite. But I’m looking forward to the weekend. As a team, we’re well positioned, and I’m fit. Nevertheless, I think it’s going to be very exciting because of the heat. It’ll be important that we do our job properly and stay focused so that we can get the best out of it on Sunday.”
