In the third quarter of 2026, Bajaj Mobility AG built on the positive performance of the previous quarter and further improved its profitability. Operating profit (EBIT) rose by around €10 million compared with the second quarter to €11.3 million, reaching its highest quarterly level since the completion of the restructuring measures. The EBITDA margin also continued to improve, rising to 11.6 per cent (compared with -17.2 per cent in Q3/25).

The motorbike business continued its positive performance in the third quarter of 2026, recording significant growth in turnover and sales volumes. Motorbike sales rose by 51.1 per cent compared with the third quarter of the previous year to 47,390 units. Motorcycle revenue for the KTM, Husqvarna Motorcycles and GASGAS brands rose by as much as 84 per cent to €288.3 million – up from €156.6 million in Q3 2025. Group turnover rose by 57 per cent compared with the third quarter of the previous year to €351.1 million (in the third quarter of 2025, it stood at €223.6 million). In the first nine months of 2026, consolidated turnover amounted to €1,052.5 million.

75 per cent more motorbikes sold so far than in 2025

The positive trend has also continued this year when viewed over the first nine months. A total of 136,363 motorcycles from the KTM, Husqvarna Motorcycles and GASGAS brands were sold during this period, representing an increase of 75.4 per cent compared with the same period last year (77,748 units). Motorcycle revenue grew even more strongly, almost doubling over the same period to reach €867.9 million – compared with €434.4 million after Q3 2025. In addition, 91,704 motorcycles were sold directly by Bajaj in India (compared with 55,427 units after Q3 of the previous year). This brought the total global motorcycle sales for the KTM, Husqvarna Motorcycles and GASGAS brands to 228,067 units after the first three quarters (133,175 units after Q3 2025).

“The third-quarter results confirm the strength of our brands and our product portfolio,” emphasised CEO Gottfried Neumeister. “At the same time, we are looking ahead: With new models, a groundbreaking technological debut at EICMA and a clear focus on innovation, we are consistently investing in the future of motorcycling. Our aim is not only to further expand our market position, but also to play an active role in shaping the technological development of our industry.”

Following the successful reduction in stock levels in previous quarters, global motorcycle stock levels within the Group, as well as at dealers and importers, remained stable at a sustainably efficient level in the third quarter.

Staff reductions have been completed

Despite significant revenue growth, Bajaj Mobility AG reduced its overhead costs in the nine-month period compared with the same period last year (excluding restructuring gains and the deconsolidation effect of MV Agusta) by 96.9 million to 255.1 million euros. This was driven in particular by savings in administrative and infrastructure costs, as well as lower sales and marketing expenses. The staff reduction programme initiated in the first quarter was fully completed in the third quarter; in addition, the corporate and organisational structures were further streamlined.

“Following the first positive operating EBIT in the second quarter of 2026, we were able to significantly increase profitability once again in the third quarter,” said CFO Petra Preining. “At the same time, we have further improved our cost structure and maintained stock levels at a sustainably efficient level. This development confirms that we have implemented the right measures and can build on a solid financial foundation.”

Further investments in Brazil

With the opening of the new KTM plant in Manaus on 14 October 2026, Bajaj Mobility AG is strengthening its presence in one of Latin America’s most important motorbike markets. The site is the first assembly plant wholly owned by KTM outside Austria and covers both vehicle and engine assembly. Operating on a single shift, the plant is designed to produce around 10,000 motorbikes per year. Production is exclusively for the Brazilian market; production at the Austrian site in Mattighofen remains unaffected. KTM has so far invested around €3 million in the site, with a further €2 million earmarked for 2027 and 2028.

For the remainder of the financial year, the focus will be on sustainably increasing profitability and improving free cash flow. To this end, Bajaj Mobility AG will further optimise its cost and organisational structures, focus on managing the product and project portfolio, and maintain stock levels at a sustainably efficient level. At the same time, management would monitor the geopolitical and macroeconomic environment, as well as any potential changes to trade and customs regulations. Fluctuations in demand or disruptions to supply chains could influence future performance.
