British partnership: Eddie O’Shea and GRYD MLav Racing to remain united in 2027

Eddie O’Shea made his debut in the Moto3 World Championship in 2024 with MLav Racing. Prior to that, the Englishman had competed for the team in the JuniorGP category. In 2025, O’Shea contested his first full season in the lowest class of the Motorcycle World Championship. At least he managed to finish in the points last year in Indonesia (15th) and Malaysia (14th).

Things are going much better in 2026. So far this season, the 19-year-old has recorded six top-10 finishes. The Leicester-born rider finished eighth at his home Grand Prix at Silverstone. He achieved his best result of the season with a sixth-place finish at Mugello.

O’Shea’s Moto3 debut in Indonesia in 2024

As the team recently announced, their partnership will continue next year. “The team is delighted to be working with O’Shea again in the 2027 Moto3 season,” said a statement from GRYD MLav Racing. “This marks the start of a new chapter in a journey that began in the team’s junior programme, before Eddie made the leap to the World Championship at the 2024 Indonesian Grand Prix. Since then, we have grown together, made steady progress each season and taken significant steps forward.”

MLav also competes in the JuniorGP and Moto4 European Cup (formerly the European Talent Cup) junior racing series. The team’s primary focus is on developing British talent.
