Marquez, Stoner & Co. congratulated Toni Bou on his 40th Trial World Championship title

Last weekend, Toni Bou secured his 20th Outdoor Trial World Championship title (TrialGP) in the Netherlands. The 39-year-old Spaniard has continued his unbroken run of TrialGP titles since winning his first world championship in 2007. Together with his 20th consecutive title in the X-Trial World Championship (Indoor World Championship), which he clinched in March 2026, Bou has now won a total of 40 world championship titles in a row, setting a record that is virtually unprecedented in the history of motorsport.

MotoGP stars such as Marc Marquez, Fabio Quartararo, Jorge Martin, Pedro Acosta, Luca Marini and Joan Mir, as well as former riders such as Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa, congratulated Toni Bou in a video message and paid tribute to this unique achievement.

“You’re a beast, a machine. Enjoy it, you’re a real role model,” said nine-time world champion Marc Marquez. Two-time MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner added: “It’s simply phenomenal what you’ve achieved – over the last 20 years, that’s incredible. 40 world championships. Whether indoors or outdoors, whatever the conditions, whatever the day – you deliver week in, week out. From the bottom of my heart: that’s simply an incredible achievement. Congratulations! Enjoy it!”

“Toni, congratulations on your 40th title. I didn’t know you could have more titles than years,” smiled Quartararo. Motorcycle stars from other racing series also congratulated Bou. Among them was Jeffrey Herlings, who clinched his seventh Motocross World Championship title last weekend. Others offering their congratulations included Hunter Lawrence (2026 AMA Pro Motocross Champion), Jett Lawrence (2024 AMA Supercross Champion and two-time Pro Motocross Champion) and four-time Motocross World Champion Jorge Prado.
