For the first time, pole position at the Spa 24 Hours was decided via a new, four-part Superpole format, in which 32 cars originally took part.
AF Corse driver Alessio Rovera secured pole position with a dominant performance. Rovera set the fastest time in each of the four sessions. With a lap time of 2:18.613 minutes, the Ferrari works driver secured a commanding pole position. Rovera shares the car with Nicklas Nielsen and Tommaso Mosca.
Thomas Fleming secured second place in the Garage 59 McLaren 720S GT3. The Gold Cup driver was 0.428 seconds off the Ferrari star’s fastest time.
