Kelvin van der Linde on pole position in the Sprint Cup for the first time

Pole position for Kelvin van der Linde in the second race of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup at Magny-Cours. At the wheel of the WRT BMW M4 GT3, he completed a lap in 1:35.927 minutes. This is the successful South African’s first pole position in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup.

Second place went to Nicki Thiim in the Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3. The Aston Martin works driver was 0.227 seconds off the fastest time.

Christopher Haase completes the top three in the Eastalent Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3, after the Austrian team worked until 3.30 am to get the R8 LMS GT3 race-ready following a collision.
