ZX Moto star Valentin Debise: Test at Magny-Cours, a hero in China

On the international stage, Valentin Debise is a late bloomer. The Frenchman had enjoyed considerable success in the national championship and also made several impressive guest appearances in the Supersport World Championship, but because many teams demand a financial contribution and he only had small sponsors, he did not ride his first full season until 2023, aged 31, with the Yamaha GMT94 team.

Debise has since established himself as one of the best Supersport riders. However, no one could have predicted that he would make his definitive breakthrough with the new manufacturer ZX Moto of all teams. In the 2026 Supersport World Championship, the now 34-year-old has secured six victories with the Chinese manufacturer and, after eight rounds, sits second in the championship standings.

Debise’s success on the racetrack is paying off in the truest sense of the word: with helmet manufacturer LS2 and technology company Honor (both from China), the ZX Moto rider has secured two powerful personal sponsors. And during a visit to China, Debise was welcomed like a star and signed autographs non-stop.

Meanwhile, ZX Moto Evan Bros has begun preparations for the final four races of the season with a test at Magny-Cours. Debise’s home race, taking place from 4 to 6 September, marks the end of the nearly two-month summer break in the production-based World Championship.
