Ferrari driver Matteo Cairoli on pole position for the first DTM race

Matteo Cairoli will start the first DTM race at the Nürburgring from pole position. The Emil Frey Racing driver secured pole position at the last minute. The Italian completed a lap in 1:25.345 minutes.

Thomas Preining took second place. The Austrian was 0.036 seconds off the fastest time.

Lucas Auer, driving a Landgraf Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3, completes the top three.
