McLaren shock: Ben Dörr disqualified after strong qualifying

Ben Dörr has lost his strong fourth place on the grid for the first DTM race at the Norisring. The race stewards disqualified the Dörr Motorsport McLaren 720S GT3 following qualifying, meaning he will start the race from 21st and last place on the grid.

Following qualifying, the technical stewards determined that the Dörr Motorsport car did not meet the prescribed minimum weight and was therefore not in compliance with the regulations.

In total, Ben Dörr’s car was 8.5 kilograms underweight.
