Nicki Thiim secures pole position once again in the Aston Martin

The previous day’s winner, Nicki Thiim, set the fastest time in the first qualifying group. In the Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3, he completed a lap of the legendary street circuit in 48.583 seconds. As no one was faster in the second group, the Dane will once again start from pole position. This also sees Thiim move up to second place in the DTM championship standings.

The fastest driver in the second group was Finn Wiebelhaus in the Haupt Racing Team Ford Mustang GT3. However, the reigning ADAC GT Masters champion is currently under investigation for allegedly blocking Matteo Cairoli on the start-finish straight.

Arjun Maini secured third place in the team’s second Mustang from Drees.
