Bagger World Cup: Bradley Smith at Silverstone in ‘Union Jack colours’

This weekend, the MotoGP World Championship is making a stop at Silverstone. The riders and teams from the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup will be there too. Races 7 and 8 of the new series will be held on the British Isles.

Fans at the track can look forward not only to the rich V2 sound of the racing Harleys, but also to cheering on a local hero. Former MotoGP rider Bradley Smith will be competing in the Bagger class for the Italian ParkinGO team on a wildcard entry.

For his appearance in front of his home fans, the Oxford-born rider will be racing on the Silverstone Circuit with a special livery. Fittingly, his Harley is decked out in ‘Union Jack’ colours. The unveiling took place on Thursday at the circuit.

Bradley Smith: Riding for the Harley-Davidson works team in the US

With this unique livery, Smith is sure to turn heads on the track. It remains to be seen how he will fare in the two races. The 35-year-old now has plenty of experience with the racing Harley under his belt.

After many years as a regular and test rider in the MotoGP paddock and a stint as a test rider for BMW in the World Superbike Championship, Bradley Smith moved to MotoAmerica in 2025. There, the Briton made his debut in the King of the Baggers series, where he secured three podium finishes in 14 races on a Harley-Davidson and finished ninth overall. In 2026, Smith will be back on the grid for the Harley-Davidson works team in the USA.
