Reiterberger arrives at the Euro Moto finale in Hockenheim as world champion

It has not even been a week since the success at the Endurance World Championship, where Markus Reiterberger secured the world title with the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team last weekend, and already he is off to the next event – the Euro Moto season finale at the Hockenheimring. Buoyed by this success and all the positive emotions that come with winning the title, Reiterberger is highly motivated and is hoping for a strong finish in Hockenheim, Baden-Württemberg.

“It’s hard to believe, but we’ve already reached the final event of the 2026 EuroMoto season at Hockenheim,” says the newly crowned world champion. “After the events at Le Castellet and our World Championship title in the Endurance World Championship, I’m naturally highly motivated and will do my best to finish the championship as strongly as possible.”

So do come along, everyone. It’s going to be quite a spectacle.

The circuit suits the 32-year-old, but the 2026 EuroMoto season has proved rather difficult for the Bavarian and the Masteroil-alpha-Van Zon-BMW team. “We weren’t able to perform as well as we’d hoped,” admits the four-time IDM Superbike champion. “The new regulations and the strong rivals haven’t exactly played into our hands. Nevertheless, I hope we can find a good set-up so that we have a chance of securing podium places. Unfortunately, I’ve only managed one win so far this year, in Brno.

At the Hockenheimring, too, the stated aim is once again to bring home a podium finish or two and, if possible, to stand at the very top of the podium. “I wish us all a great and accident-free season finale at the Hockenheimring,” said Reiterberger. “My fan club will be there again, as well as lots of friends and family. We’ve also got plenty planned and some great merchandise with us once more. So do come along, everyone. There’ll be plenty going on.”
