All-time leaderboard: Jeffrey Herlings (HRC) is a six-time Motocross World Champion

Jeffrey Herlings won the MXGP of Turkey in Afyonkarahisar with a perfect score of 60 World Championship points, thereby securing the 2026 MXGP World Championship title ahead of schedule. 'The Bullet' thus draws level with Joël Robert in the all-time rankings, who also won the title six times in 1964, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971 and 1972. Only Stefan Everts (10) and Antonio Cairoli (9) have won more World Championship titles than Herlings in the history of the sport.

Jeffrey Herlings: Champion straight away with Honda

“Following my last World Championship title in 2021, I’ve now finally secured my sixth World Championship title,” explained Jeffrey Herlings after the race in Turkey. “It’s simply an incredible feeling. I joined Honda HRC Petronas on 1 January this year and everything was new: a new motorbike, a new team and new kit. It wasn’t always easy, but I think you can see all the hard work we’ve put in and you can see the results. I’m just so glad we’ve managed it. A huge thank you goes to the team, my friends and family, who have supported me through some difficult times.”

Third MXGP title

His sixth world title is also his third in the premier MXGP class. However, it is his first title for Honda. Jeffrey Herlings has secured 11 Grand Prix victories this season. ‘The Bullet’ has thus increased his total number of World Championship wins to 123, 62 of which were in MXGP. This season, the Dutchman won 7 qualifying races and 18 main events.
