Now it’s one thing after another. Half of the MXGP top 10 will no longer be competing in the remaining Grands Prix in China and Australia. Ruben Fernandez – wrist

Maxime Renaux – ribs

Kay de Wolf – hand and ankle

A bitter blow for the MXoN

Jorge Prado, Ruben Fernandez and the likely MX2 World Champion Guillem Farres were originally nominated for the Spanish team. Following Fernandez’s withdrawal, EMX250 Champion Francisco García will have to step in. The 250cc rider will have to compete in the Open class on the larger bike. García already competed in last year’s MXoN, although Jorge Prado was unable to take part on that occasion. García finished the Open class races in 25th and 26th place.
