The special exhibition ‘Speed Legends’ at EICMA 2026 is dedicated to the history of the premier class of the Motorcycle World Championship. The exhibition was launched in collaboration with MotoGP, under the patronage of the FIM, and is one of the highlights of the partnership, which was announced earlier this year at Mugello.
Covering an area of around 1,400 square metres, the exhibition traces the development of the premier class through more than 30 motorbikes, the successes of legendary riders and the technical innovations that have shaped the various eras.
Racing motorbikes from different eras
Among the highlights is the AJS Porcupine, the motorbike on which Leslie Graham won the first 500cc World Championship title in 1949. Also on display are the remarkable Moto Guzzi V8 and the MV Agusta bikes ridden by Giacomo Agostini and Phil Read.
Franco Uncini’s Suzuki XR40, Mick Doohan’s Honda NSR and Kevin Schwantz’s Suzuki RGV are also on display. The MotoGP era is represented, amongst others, by Casey Stoner’s Ducati Desmosedici GP8, the Yamaha YZF-M1 machines ridden by Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo, and Marc Márquez’s Honda RC213V.
