Ferrari works driver Neubauer makes an epic comeback at Zandvoort

A few days after the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup at the Nürburgring, Ferrari works driver Thomas Neubauer announced on social media that he had been involved in a serious accident on his road bike and had sustained serious injuries.

“A few days ago, I had a cycling accident,” Neubauer said in a post. “Although I’m always very careful, accidents are unfortunately sometimes unavoidable. I fell off my bike and, amongst other things, suffered a complex fracture of my left collarbone, with at least seven fragments and significant displacement of the bones. I had surgery on Tuesday, and everything went well.”

As a result, the Frenchman had to withdraw from the Suzuka 1000km last week. However, just around two and a half weeks after his injury, the 27-year-old from Paris is back in the race car.

Together with Arthur Leclerc, Neubauer will be competing in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup at Zandvoort. In the second practice session, the two Frenchmen finished fourth in a highly competitive field.
