Jules Gounon in the Verstappen Racing Mercedes-AMG on pole position

Pole position for Jules Gounon in the second race of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup at Misano. Driving the Mercedes-AMG GT3 for Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing, the Frenchman – who lives in Andorra – secured the top spot on the grid following his disappointing retirement on Saturday. He completed a lap in 1:32.017 minutes.

The previous day’s winner, Kelvin van der Linde, secured second place on the grid in the WRT BMW M4 GT3. The South African was 0.057 seconds off pole position.

Kobe Pauwels, in the Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin, rounded off the top three positions.

Max Hesse, driving the #46 WRT BMW M4 GT3, secured fourth place on the grid, keeping alive Valentino Rossi’s dream of a fourth Misano victory in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup on his home circuit.
