Technical infringement: Ferrari loses third place on the grid for the Spa 24 Hours

The AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 driven by Lilou Wadoux, Arthur Leclerc and Sean Gelael has lost its third place on the grid for the 24 Hours of Spa. All lap times set by the Italian team’s car during Superpole have been struck off the record.

Following the hearing, the stewards determined that the data logger had not been connected correctly and had therefore failed to record boost pressure, which is mandatory for turbocharged vehicles. Eastalent Racing committed the same offence after qualifying on Saturday evening.

During the hearing, the team representative explained that it was possible the mechanics had accidentally disconnected the data logger whilst working on the car.

The Ferrari will therefore start Saturday afternoon’s race from the back of the Superpole grid.
