Malcolm Stewart: Is a move to Kawasaki on the cards?

Following Husqvarna’s announcement that it will no longer field an official works team in the US next year, Malcolm Stewart has put himself forward as a ‘free agent’. It is considered highly likely that he will switch brands next year.

Will Chase Sexton leave Kawasaki?

Following the mutual public recriminations after Sexton’s crash on press day at Thunder Valley, it is difficult to imagine Sexton and Kawasaki continuing their partnership. The Prado drama may well repeat itself this time with Sexton. Garrett Marchbanks is expected to remain with the team. Sexton’s replacement, Cornelius Toendel, got off to a decent start, but his overall performances are certainly not up to scratch. This could open the door for Malcolm Stewart.

Supercross with or without the outdoors

In the US, there is a growing trend for riders to specialise. This is partly due to the extremely long season, which runs from early January to late September. Malcolm actually wanted to focus on Supercross. However, Kawasaki wants a rider for the entire season – that is, Supercross, the US Nationals and the SMX Finals.
