The World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) is currently on its summer break. The next race of the 2026 season isn’t due until early September. The venue will be the circuit in Austin, Texas. For Cadillac, all eyes will naturally be on this home race. But before then, the American brand has now unveiled a very special concept car: the Cadillac V-ONE Concept.

Even at first glance, the family resemblance to the Cadillac V-Series.R is clear – the car with which Cadillac competes in the FIA WEC and the American IMSA series. Building on the performance engineering and shared roots with the V-Series.R, the V-ONE Concept explores how motorsport technology can be translated into a driver-focused experience. At the same time, it highlights Cadillac’s successful racing heritage in the areas of design, performance and technology.

“The Cadillac V-ONE Concept is the ultimate embodiment of a performance concept for customers and a clear signal of our ambitions for the Cadillac V-Series brand in the future,” said Dominic Najafi (Executive Design Director at Global Cadillac).

The concept car was developed jointly by Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing and the Italian chassis manufacturer Dallara, and aims to deliver performance and technology on a par with works prototypes. The V-ONE Concept is powered by a V8 hybrid powertrain that shares the same technical basis as the V-Series.R racing car. Its combined power output is stated as 830 PS.

In areas such as the chassis, gearbox and selected electronic components, the concept car also shares a deeply racing-derived architecture with the V-Series.R. Other manufacturers such as Ferrari, Porsche and McLaren have also developed derivatives of their WEC hypercars. At present, however, it remains unclear whether the Cadillac V-ONE Concept will remain a one-off, or whether it might be made available to selected customers in a sort of mini-series.
