Baku qualifying live ticker: Who will snatch the Azerbaijan pole?

The battle for pole position at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix gets underway as early as Friday. George Russell (Mercedes) was the fastest in both of Thursday’s practice sessions. His team-mate, championship leader Kimi Antonelli, suffered hydraulic problems and lost a lot of track time. In the final practice session, Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) suddenly found himself right at the front! Can he cause trouble for the Silver Arrows in qualifying too? Verstappen knows Baku well.

Ferrari were just behind Mercedes and Verstappen in each session (very close in FP3!), whilst McLaren trailed far behind at the tail end of the leading group. Audi have been a disappointment in practice so far, despite their XXL upgrade package. But has every team really shown what their car is capable of yet?
