This coming weekend, Arsago will host this year’s edition of the legendary new-generation FastCross event. The event was launched in 1984 by the successful entrepreneur and motocross fan Giorgio Saporiti, and the last edition to date took place in 2000. Since 2023, the picturesque venue in the village of Arsago – near Lake Maggiore and Lake Varese – has once again been hosting a spectacular blend of motocross and supercross.
The latest spectacular signing for the upcoming event is American rider Cooper Webb. The 30-year-old recently made a strong impression at the Motocross of Nations (MXoN), where, after many years with Yamaha, he rode a Husqvarna for the first time. Webb will face stiff competition in Arsago from a strong field of European GP stars, led by MXGP champion Jeffrey Herlings, who is in the form of his life.
Herlings’ team-mate Tom Vialle will also be taking to the track at Arsago for the first time. Belgian rider Liam Everts arrives in northern Italy as the newly crowned winner of the Motocross of Nations (MXoN). The main Italian hope at Arsago is Red Bull KTM rider Andrea Adamo. He will be joined by strong World Championship riders such as Jan Pancar, Albi Forato and Maxime Grau, as well as French SX specialist Killian Poll.
Two Swiss stars, Kevin Brumann and Arnaud Tonus, have also been signed up for the event. Alongside the races in the MX Open, 125cc and 85cc classes, the Open riders will also compete in the ‘Uno contro Uno’ head-to-head duel. This is a competition in which riders compete against each other in one-lap duels in a knockout format.
