MXoN: Norway with Tøndel and Horgmo – the Czech Republic is banking on Mikula

Norway will field the following line-up at the Motocross of Nations in Ernée:

Norway strong in MXGP and Open

Cornelius Tøndel was signed in the USA as a replacement for the injured Chase Sexton. For the Motocross of Nations, the Norwegian will return to Europe from the USA to compete in the Open class. Kevin Horgmo, who currently sits 11th in the MXGP World Championship with 279 points, will take on the MXGP category. Last year, Horgmo had to miss the Motocross of Nations due to injury. In MX2, Norway is counting on Pelle Gundersen, who is currently 20th in the MX2 World Championship.

Czech Republic with a strong MX2 line-up

At the Motocross of Nations, the line-up for the MX2 class is of particular importance. The MX2 riders must hold their own against the more powerful MXGP and Open class riders in their two races and can therefore accumulate points quickly. A strong MX2 rider can therefore be invaluable to the team standings, provided his two team-mates also deliver solid results. With Julius Mikula, the Czechs are well-positioned in the MX2 class. Vaclav Kovar secured the EMX2T title this year, whilst Petr Rathousky brings a wealth of experience to the Czech team.
