Darwin: Tom Vialle (Honda) wins qualifying race, Seewer finishes 6th

MXGP qualifying race at the Motocross World Championship season finale in Darwin (Australia): Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings (Honda), who has already been crowned world champion, clocked the fastest lap time of 1:34 in free practice, putting him 0.3 seconds ahead of defending champion Romain Febvre (Kawasaki).

Holeshot and victory for Vialle

World Champion Jeffrey Herlings got off to a good start but skidded on the freshly watered track in the first corner and fell back to the rear of the field. Tom Vialle (Honda) took the holeshot and led the race from the first to the last lap. Behind the Frenchman were initially Jeremy Seewer (KTM) and Andrea Adamo (KTM), as well as the two Kawasaki factory riders Pauls Jonass and Romain Febvre.

Tom Vialle eventually won by a margin of 3.1 seconds ahead of Romain Febvre. Jeffrey Herlings fought his way back up to third place in the race. Jeremy Seewer finished the race in sixth place.
