MotoGP at the Red Bull Ring: a festival atmosphere in Spielberg

Before the MotoGP stars battle it out for World Championship points at the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring, ‘Super Thursday’ takes place in Spielberg. During the Public Pit Lane Walk, GP ticket holders can take a look behind the scenes of the premier class of motorcycling at no extra cost. What’s more, the Red Bull Ring will belong to the 50cc heroes for the third ‘MopedGP of Austria’. After registering at www.redbullring.com/mopedgp, the action hits the track on 17 September.

MotoGP Fan Zone with three themed areas

For the first time this year, a festival and open-air atmosphere with bands and DJs will be on offer across three entertainment zones. The ‘Rock Area’ features the sound of guitars and a biker vibe. In the ‘VibeSphere’, DJs will provide the perfect beat, whilst the ‘Steirer Stadl’ – complete with a beer garden – offers visitors a taste of Austrian cosiness and live bands.

During the day, Adrian Guggemoos will thrill the crowds with a freestyle trial show. There will also be skateboarding and BMX shows. A special highlight for fans is the MotoGP sprint podium ceremony on Saturday.

Up close with the stars of the MotoGP World Championship

When Marc Marquez, Pedro Acosta and co. pop into the Welcome Centre to say hello, these are special moments for the fans. During the ‘Hero Walk on the Styrian Green Carpet’, the stars of the World Motorcycle Championship take time out for autographs and selfies. They’re also within easy reach at the ‘Meet the Riders’ event in the MotoGP Fan Zone.

Austrian national anthem and air shows

In 2026, the all-star band from the “Woodstock of Brass Music” festival will make its grand appearance immediately before the start of Sunday’s Grand Prix. The musicians will play the Austrian national anthem on the start-finish straight. As is traditional at the premier class races at Spielberg, the Flying Bulls will provide entertainment with an air display, whilst the HSV Red Bull Skydive Team will perform their flag jump before the racing action begins.
